How to play BOLT £100M Auction
BOLT £100M Auction is a football auction game. You and your rivals each get a fictional £100m to build a 16-player squad, one bid at a time. The best-built squad wins.
The game in ten steps
- 01
Choose a league
Pick one of five league packs. Each uses ratings based on performances in that league.
- 02
Choose 2 or 4 managers
Play a two-manager duel or a four-manager room.
- 03
Computer or private room
Play against computer managers straight away, or create a private room and share its six-character code with friends. Empty seats can be filled with AI.
- 04
Spend a fictional £100m
Each manager gets £100m of game money in whole millions. The opening bid is £1m. No real money is involved.
- 05
Bid or pass
Raise the bid or pass on each lot. Passing is final: you cannot re-enter that lot. If everyone passes before a bid, the player goes unsold.
- 06
Build exactly 16 players
Buy a starting XI plus five substitutes. Purchases are final, with no free replacements. Standard budget mode blocks any bid that would make 16 impossible.
- 07
Keep it private
Bids are public, but budgets and squads stay sealed until every lineup locks.
- 08
Lock your XI and bench
Choose your starting XI and five substitutes. Playing someone outside every listed position costs exactly minus 10.
- 09
Ratings revealed at the end
BOLT League Ratings are shown only once lineups lock. Starting XI average counts 75%, bench 15% and coverage 10%. Unused money earns nothing.
- 10
Best-built squad wins
The result is a squad comparison, not a simulated match.
About the ratings
BOLT League Ratings are editorial ratings based on performances in each league. They are hidden while you bid, so you are trusting your football knowledge. They are game ratings, not official league, club or player ratings.
Playing with others
Play 2 or 4 managers against the computer, or create a private room for friends. Room codes are only for the people you share them with. Empty seats can be AI managers.
